Hey Y'all! As you may or may not know, I recently (well, last month...) just had my sweet 16. And I must say, it was pretty sweet :] It all started when we were in Texas, my cousins birthday is 2 weeks earlier than mine and we happened to be visiting around that time. Towards the end of our stay in Dallas, my family threw us a "surprise" party at my Uncles house. (I say "Surprise" because it was a secret until the little ones kept hinting my cousin and me) We both had our own cake and got about 3 itunes gift cards each. It was AWESOME :] When we got back from Texas, my mom took me to the DMV the next day to get my permit and I passed my written test on the first attempt. I must say, I felt accomplished. So the next step was to enroll in a driving school (which is a whole other story in itself...) It took us a few hours to actually find a school and enroll in the same day. When it was all over, and I could legally drive with my mom, I figured this was my birthday present from my parents and I wouldn't be receiving anything else.
2 weeks go by, and I was feeling very down in the dumps and left out. We went to youth group and it didn't get much better. But later that night, we went to Jack-n-the-Box (like we always do after youth group) and there was a surprise birthday party waiting for me there! I seriously had no clue what was going on, and it explained why no one would talk to me. Torii, my sister, had set up the whole thing when we came back from Texas. I guess no one would talk to me because they were afraid they might hint word of the party to me. (Or I'm just weird, haha :])
But needless to say, I'm very thankful that my sister loves me enough to throw me a surprise party and actually persevere to pull it off. Love ya sis!
